What movie do you think of when you picture the eighties?
What movie do you think of when you picture the eighties? For me it is an obvious choice. A room full of kids in detention trying to find their way through life. I am referring of course to “The Breakfast Club”, quite possibly the best description of life at that time. If you liked the music in the movie, and you are a fan of breakfast itself, Buffalo Wild Wings along with DaytonRocks.com brings you Egg’s n’ 80’s-an early morning dance party on Brown Street-March 10.

The corner of Lowe’s and Brown Street on the campus of UD will once again be transformed into a sea of blue as Buffalo Wild Wings helps to celebrate the Third Annual Blue Beer Day. What is this you say? Allow me to explain. Occasionally students can take an event like St. Patrick’s Day and get a touch carried away. As a result, the University tends to send the students away for St. Paddy’s. If you are a fun loving student, or local resident for that matter, how do you still party for the occasion?
This is how Blue Beer Day was born, out of a need for the campus to have its celebration, even if it is a week before the Irish have their party. The store will be opening a full four hours early at 7a.m. What can possibly be going on at that time of day-I am glad you asked that question.

Not only will breakfast be served to the hundreds of people who will come in the doors for the festivities, a local DJ will be spinning from 7a.m. to 11a.m. for your dancing enjoyment. DJ JayMadewell will bring his unique blend of music from the 60’s to the 80’s-with a focus on the “Me” decade. A local Dayton boy done well, Jay has been active on the Dayton music scene for years. His L80’s Night parties and FabGear productions have graced such area haunts as Blind Bob’s (four years running) Therapy Café, and the Nite Owl, just to name a few. With a fine array of equipment and a ton of energy, Jay will put the beat to our breakfast jam.
In addition to the unique opportunity to eat breakfast and party at a B-dubs at seven in the morning, the blue beer will flow freely along with other specials and prizes throughout the day. Don’t be frightened into thinking that this is a campus only event. As a mid-thirties resident of Dayton for over six years, I am also a veteran of the first two Blue Beer Day celebrations. This one is not to be missed. Come join us on Brown Street for all the action.
